Twitter! So what’s the big deal, and why all the attention? Anyone can open an account and tweet non stop drivel about their digestive process or what they will or won’t be watching tonight in American Idol.

But can Twitter make a difference to the US healthcare system that is imploding under its own weight? Can it save lives, connect dots between medical sub-specialties and primary care, while enabling more effective patient/physician communication? Some even suggest it has the power to foster the collaboration required to transform a here-to-for change resistant healthcare conundrum.
